Christopher Martin talks Rising Stars, being big in Africa, friendship with Usain Bolt

Christopher Martin talks new album, entering Rising Stars to further his education, how Paper Loving changed his fortunes, why he’s big in Africa, dancehall pop help or hinders dancehall, mama’s inspiration, friendship with Bolt and why Rising Star hasn’t worked for everyone.

He also talks lack of collaborations in dancehall: “In Jamaica, there’s a misconception that you have to be friends to work with each other” and says “I could care less about what’s hot on the road. Me nah switch up.”
