Buju Banton Gets Motorcade To Celebration His Return

A massive motorcade to make the return of Buju Banton was held in Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday.

The Reunification Freedom Roadshow was organised by High Frequency Entertainment, the same promoters who booked the Grammy-winning Reggae singer to perform in the Twin Island Republic in April 2019.

“The love for Buju Banton is pure and real in Trinidad and Tobago,” the High Frequency Entertainment said. “In April 2019, we will all dance to his music, listen to his wisdom and share in a worthwhile experience at the Queen’s Park Savannah, in Port-of-Spain.”

Buju Banton is currently resting at his home in Kingston after he was released from prison and flew back to Jamaica yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Jamaican Government will not be organising an event to mark the return of Buju Banton to the island.

Minister of Entertainment and Culture, Olivia Grange, revealed that while the Grammy-winning entertainer’s team will be hosting an event to celebrate his return, the government will not be among the organisers.

“We are aware that Buju Banton and his management team will be having a concert, and the Ministry of Culture may have a presence, but it is nothing that the government will be actively organising,” Grange said.
