Buju Banton is enjoying a stellar start to 2020!
Buju Banton is picking up right where he left off in 2019, starting the year with another big announcement.
Last year the “Destiny” crooner capped off a successful year by signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.
The Reggae superstar will be featured on the official soundtrack for Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s movie, Bad Boys For Life.
The announcement was made via DJ Khaled’s official Instagram page on Wednesday. Buju will join other recognizable names such as Jaden Smith, Meek Mill, City Girls, Black Eyed Peas, and J Balvin.
The track, “Murder She Wrote,” is one of 10 tracks, which is executively produced by Dj Khaled.
Buju is not the first Jamaican artiste to be featured on a ‘Bad Boys’ soundtrack as Diana King and Inner Circle previously appeared.
When the original movie was released in 1996 it infamously featured Diana King’s smash hit “Shy Guy,” and Inner Circle’s “Bad Boys.”
The Bad Boys For Life film and soundtrack are expected to premiere on January 17.
