Veteran Dancehall artiste Bounty Killer has denounced the idea that incarcerated superstar Vybz Kartel is the genre’s greatest ever lyricist.
According to the iconic veteran, Vybz Kartel is not Dancehall’s greatest lyricist, simply because he recorded too much sup par music throughout the years. He says Vybz Kartel chose to focus more on quantity and not quality.

The “Can’t Believe My Eyes” deejay claims that many artistes fell short of the title because they did not record enough material or lacked consistency consistency. He however feels this was the complete opposite for Vybz Kartel, who he claims actually wrote too much.
In a recent interview with The Star, Bounty Killer pointed out that Vybz Kartel’s catalog lacks a true career defining song. He claimed that fans can easily identify “Look Into My Eyes” as his greatest piece of work, but they would find it difficult to highlight Vybz Kartel’s best piece of work.
