Bounty Killer Gets Support With Calls For Party Extensions During Reggae Month

Bounty Killer is receiving support with his calls for an extension of cut-off times for entertainment events during February.

Bounty has gained the support of Jamaica’s Entertainment Advisory Board (EAB), in calls for extended party hours during Reggae Month.

Chairman of the EAB, Howard McIntosh echoed Bounty’s concerns calling for exemptions to continue beyond the Christmas period.

“The extension should have lasted until the end of February 2020, which is a nationally declared month of celebration for Jamaican Reggae Music,” McIntosh declared.

McIntosh praised Minister of Culture, Gender Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange, who had lobbied for the extension. However, he went on to caution the Ministry of National Security to refrain from using the Noise Abatement Act.

According to McIntosh, brand Jamaica is closely linked to entertainment and culture, and should not be stifled.

The chairman’s comments come three weeks after Bounty Killer made similar statements on Instagram.

“February will be Reggae Month and if we are truly celebrating Reggae Music it should be played freely during that month,” Bounty declared.
