Beenie Man Finally Shares What Started Bounty Killer Feud

Veteran Dancehall artiste Beenie Man has sought to reveal the origin behind his feud with Bounty Killer.

Speaking with popular YouTuber blogger Teach Dem, Beenie Man said his longtime beef with the Alliance principal started with Bounty Killer accused him of jacking his lyrics and style, especially on the 1992 hit, ‘Bad Man Wicked Man.’


After being challenged for a Dancehall clash by the WarLord, Beene Man said he then started to work on his writing skills to be able to contest his fierce adversary.

“When it come to bad man lyrics I am not the greatest lyricist, but mek mi tell yuh how di Bounty rivalry nice fi me. When Killa tek me on mi decide seh mi haffi go build more bad man lyrics,” The Doc said. “Fi talk bout badness an do it inna story mi neva know how fi do dat so mi really learn from Bounty Killer.”

After months of preparation, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer squared off at the most infamous stage clash in the history of dancehall at Sting 1993.

Beenie Man added that his longtime rivalry with Killer blossomed into a career boost as it helped them both musically. “If you a war wid a person fi 22 years, an you neva knock him yet an him neva knock you, ah yuh best friend dat man,” he added.
