Beenie Man making it clear that he is the real King of Dancehall and not Vybz Kartel.
The beef between the two Dancehall heavyweights was reignited earlier this year after Vybz Kartel was given the title by Fox 5 New York. Many Dancehall and Reggae fans agreed that Beenie Man was dethroned by the self-proclaimed “Worl’ Boss” however he isn’t having it.
Fox 5 recently interviewed the Doc to speak on the topic and said there was no confusion when he got crowned the King of Dancehall. “When I get crown there was no debate,” Beenie Man said during his segment . “There was nobody saying ‘no he is not the king of dancehall’ or you know that person should be the king of dancehall. There was no debate, off hand, Beenie Man is the King of Dancehall.”
The “Girls Dem Sugar” deejay added that people in Jamaica and across the world who are avid listeners of dancehall music have to crown the king. Meanwhile, Beenie Man said he is enjoying the feud as its only fuelling his fire. Watch video below.
