50 cent bankruptcy case resolved

It was a great day for rapper 50 Cent as not only did he celebrate his 41st birthday, but he also officially closed his prolonged bankruptcy case.

50 cent’s plan to pay off his creditors was finally approved by the judge presiding over his case earlier today, according to TMZ.

The the settlement will see the rapper pay out $23 million over the period of five years. His creditors include Sleek Audio who will receive $17 million, while Lastonia Leviston, who won a defamation suit against him will get $6 million.

His lawyers released a statement saying “Mr. Jackson is pleased that the Bankruptcy Court approved his plan of reorganization today, less than one year after filing for chapter 11 to reorganize his financial affairs. Mr. Jackson appreciates the fresh start this process provides.”
