Tanya Stephens is standing firm on her controversial statements made about former Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller.

The veteran female deejay recently found herself under heavy scrutiny following controversial statements made about the political record of former prime minister Portia Simpson Miller.

The “Handle The Ride” deejay took to social media over the weekend blasting the legacy of the veteran politician, saying “Hearing people lament Portia’s departure is like seeing people congratulate my rapist for being a ‘good man’ … she isn’t a good person.”

The comments were not well received by many fans and some politicians, who accused the female deejay of being disrespectful towards not only a Jamaican icon, but also a fellow woman.

However, Stephens is not backing down on her statements, as she took to social media on Friday night to hit back at her critics calling them hypocritical and spineless.
