The family of Vybz Kartel’s murder victim Clive “Lizard” Williams have broken their silence.

Last week a video surfaced on social media of Vybz Kartel’s mother, Teresa Palmer speaking about his murder conviction and the reason he should be released from prison.

Speaking with controversial entertainer LA Lewis, Mrs Palmer not only questioned the motives of the judge, but also alleged that Lizard was a wanted man. Palmer claims that police and gangsters in the community wanted Williams around the time of his death.

“My thought[s] is that my son is innocent and my son needs to be freed and my son shouldn’t even get a day in jail for a man who was wanted by police and people… so my son need to come a road now and get free,” she said.

However Williams’ family is now hitting back at Mrs Palmer as they refute her claims saying he was not wanted by anyone, “Lizard was not wanted by police, there was no warrant out for his arrest so to say that he was a wanted man is an outright lie,” the family member said. “The only people I know wanted Lizard was Vybz Kartel and his cronies. Lizard was a jovial guy who get along with everyone and he was never in any war with anyone to be wanted by gangsters. I am not saying he was an angel, but this wanted story is totally bogus.”
