Woman Says Soldiers Arrested Her Baby Father While He Went To Buy Lasco

A St James woman is furious with security forces after her baby father was allegedly arrested over the weekend.

According to the woman, her common-law husband went to a shop in their community to purchase lasco for their child and found himself in lockup due to the current state of emergency imposed in the parish.

“Him lef guh buy lasco fi the baby and dem throw him inna the solider jeep carry him down here [Freeport police station] come lock him up,” she told one reporter, “the baby nuh get the lasco suh mi would a wan know weh the lasco deh, if dem carry the lasco down here.”

Shut Down Times Issued For St James Businesses During State Of Emergency

“Dem just see him and throw him pan the solider truck, nothing at all,” she added. Watch video below.
