Will Smith To Perform Official 2018 FIFA World Cup Anthem

Will Smith is set to perform at the  2018 FIFA World Cup.

The American actor and rapper and Nicky Jam, together with Kosovo singer Era Istrefi will be performing the official 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia song which will be produced by Diplo.

There have been several artistes who have created songs associated with the World Cup like Shakira’s “Waka Waka” and Ricky Martin’s “The Cup of Life.” However, the official anthem is the most well-known and is performed at the end of the World Cup. An estimated 2 billion people will be watching.

According to Vibe, Istrefi will also participate in the song, and reggaeton producer DJ Nelson is adding his own creative touches. Smith and Nicky Jam were in Budapest finishing up the song, according to an interview with Nicky Jam manager Juan DiegoMedina.

Prior to the song leak, Nicky Jam and Smith were already associated. While meeting up with Billboard, Nicky Jam did karaoke in honor of Smith who posted a video of him singing Nicky Jam and J. Balvin’s hit song “X.” Nicky Jam later thanked the Fresh Prince for the love. Smith then asked Nicky Jam to remix his son Jaden Smith’s song “Icon.”
