A man was stabbed to death in Westmoreland on Friday night during an alleged dispute over alcohol.
Dead is 32-year-old labourer Ampra Darrien of a West End, Negril address in the parish.
According to reports, about 9:40 pm Darrien was among a gathering in West End when an argument reportedly developed between himself and another man over rum.
The argument escalated into a fight and a knife was brought into play which was used to inflict a stab to Darrien who died on the spot.
The man who inflicted the stab wound was subsequently taken into custody by the Negril police.
