Wayne Marshall Drops New Emotional Track “You Are My Father”

Following the massive success of his Gospel single “Glory To God,” Wayne Marshall has dropped another powerful track titled “You Are My Father.”

On Friday the singjay released the track, which is the first single from Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum’s compilation album: Heart of Jamaica.

The track hits an emotional spot for Marshall as it addresses the unique relationship between father and son. The singer, of course, lost his father, Wycliffe Mitchell, earlier this year.

“Good to know that an entity like Appleton Estate that is supported so much by Jamaican music from parties to the studio…. good to know they can turn around and invest in the creative process of music,” said Marshall.

According to Marshall, he is proud to be involved with the album, which is co-produced by  Mikey Bennett, as it incorporates powerful meaningful messages.

Several other notable names from the album include Dancehall lyricist Bugle and Reggae singer Jesse Royal.
