The Dancehall entertainer and other inmates are set to be santioned after mobile phones were recovered from their cells.
On Friday morning authorities announced that they had recovered one mobile phone from the deejay’s cell. During the search, two phones were also seized from other inmates at the facility.
The search was ordered after fans claimed that the deejay had livestreamed from his prison cell.
On Thursday Vybz Kartel sent the internet into a frenzy after he allegedly joined producer Rvssian on Instagram Live. In a new viral clip, the producer seemingly added the incarcerated superstar to his Live with over 4000 fans watching.
The deejay was not visibly seen during the broadcast, however, fans were treated to a rendition of his hit “Tun Up The Scheme.” The broadcast was soon ended with the deejay’s signature laugh and a statement of “I’m Out.”
Vybz Kartel is currently awaiting a verdict in his murder appeal trial for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
