The incarcerated Dancehall superstar continues to rule the charts locally and internationally as his latest banger Drone Dem recently debuted in the top ten of the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Songs.
Drone Dem, which was only released last Friday, took just one day to debut inside the top ten of the chart. This chart features the 100 most popular reggae song downloads on iTunes. It includes dancehall, ska, dub and roots reggae in addition to reggae music.
The single, which is produced by the deejay’s very own Vybz Kartel Muzik label, currently sits at the number 10 position after peaking at number 3 over the weekend.
The certified banger, which details the Vybz Kartel’s love for marijuana, has also enjoyed significant success on streaming platforms as it currently boasts over 571,000 views and 33,000 likes on Youtube.
Since its release Dancehall fans have already branded the track as one of the best releases for the year, with many flooding to social media to usher their praises for the deejay’s lyrical genius.
Vybz Kartel has enjoyed yet another stellar year, continuing to dominating the genre following the success of several smash hits such as “Any Weather,” “Come Home,” “Back Way,” and “Beat Dem Bad.”
