Vybz Kartel

Vybz Kartel has dropped the music video for emotionally charged single “Then You… and Me.”

Vybz Kartel released the visuals for the hit single, which has been praised for its touching messages and imagery.

The song, which is featured on the deejay’s upcoming album “To Tanesha,” highlights several issues affecting modern relationships.

The video, which is directed by Jay Will, depicts a mature couple struggling to cope with issues of insecurities and communication.

It opens with a timestamp of “Wednesday 1:15 AM” as a 911 Emergency call is placed and we get a brief shot of a woman’s portrait. The video employs the use of flashback as we get some backstory as to what led to the distress call.

The gripping video showcases the couple arguing over simple things, which eventually leads to much bigger problems, namely a total breakdown of trust.

In the video, the wife can be seen getting friendly with a male member of her church. Things then become complicated after she allows this same man to take her out on her anniversary.

The video hits its climax after the husband confronts his wife over her whereabouts, threatening her with a knife. However, instead of harming her he decides to rip his own heart from his chest.

Viewers are then treated to a big twist, discovering that was the wife who made the 911 call in an attempt to save her husband’s life.
