Vybz Kartel has taken shots at rivals Mavado, Alkaline, and Jahmiel.

Vybz Kartel took to Instagram over the weekend to take shots at his old rivals, by singling them out as ‘priests.’

Fans say the deejay took jabs at the MVP crew after posting a throwback clip of himself in Amsterdam. In the clip, he shouts out several dancehall legends including Sizzla, Fantan Mojah, and Barrington Levy.

Kartel would go on to heap praise on his fellow entertainers and fans for bringing Dancehall to the forefront, with the exception of the “three priests”.

“Dancehall has made so many ghetto youths get rich, tour di world & bring di Jamaica breeze go hot up planet eart’…a who ‘urt?.” He continued, “BigUp every artiste ( except dem 3 priest deh ) BigUp every selector every radio dj and BigUp di Fans,” he captioned the post.

The post left many fans speculating exactly who three ‘priests’ were, with the majority concluding that it was Mavado, Alkaline, and Jahmiel.

“MVP movement him a talk,” one fan declared, whose conclusion was echoed by dozens more.

MVP is the Dancehall collective of Mavado, Alkaline, and Jahmiel. The name was first made popular in 2017 when referenced by Jahmiel in a track titled Bad Dawg.

Over the years Vybz Kartel has endured a bitter rivalry with Mavado and most recently Alkaline. The three have exchanged several diss tracks and jabs over social media.
