Mr Vegas Help Senior Citizens Prepare For Irma, Launches Caribbean Relief Fund

As Florida residents prepare for the passage of Hurricane Irma, Gospel artist Mr Vegas is making sure senior citizens are a priority before the disaster comes.

The ‘Jesus Train’ singer was busy on Friday giving assistance to the elderly in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale.

“Most of these people who live here are old and they don’t have anyone to help them, so i offered by assistance,” Vegas said. “Some of them asked how much was i charging, i had to laugh letting them know money can’t buy life.”

Vegas also released a new single ‘Adios Irma’ and launched a Hurricane Irma relief fund for the Caribbean to help the islands affected by the Category 5 storm.

“Music and sports have always bonded us together as Caribbean people. Therefore, I wanted to make a song that will bring even a temporary smile and lots of donations to the Caribbean people affected by Irma,” Vegas wrote on GoFundMe.

“I, Mr. Vegas, have seen where celebrities got on board with dire urgency to support the people that were and is still affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas. I am hoping that this gesture and song will create the same impact and awareness.”

The fund has already raised $840 USD, its goal is $200,000. Fans can donate here.
