After two years of marriage, Usher’s wife, Grace Miguel, has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple announced their split last month amid the singer’s mounting legal issues concerning his alleged spread of genital herpes.
“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” the couple said of their split. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives.”
Initially, Grace stood by the singer, but according to TMZ, the allegations and subsequent lawsuits ultimately put a strain on the couple’s relationship. Now, it appears Grace is ready to let go for good.
The couple jumped the broom back in 2015 and have no children together. They have also put their L.A. home up for sale in the wake of their separation.
