Usain Bolt’s dream to become a professional footballer looks well on its way after the former sprinter was recently offered a two-year contract by Maltese club Valletta FC.
The Olympic sprint legend was recently offered a contract by the Maltese club, which is currently chasing a Champions League spot.
Valletta managing director and CEO Ghasston Slimen told ESPN on Monday that they hope to sign the Jamaican superstar in time for him to participate in their Maltese Super Cup match on Dec. 13 against Balzan.

Bolt recently captured the attention of several professional clubs after he scored twice during a friendly for Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners, where he has been training.
Bolt joined the A-League club back in August for an “indefinite training period” after previously trying out for Borussia Dortmund, South African club Sundowns and Norway’s Stromsgodset.
Valletta FC, are currently the champions of the small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea and were recently taken over by Abu Dhabi-based Sanban Group in September, who have expressed desires to guide the club to European football.
