Usain Bolt And Puma Raise Millions With Charity Football Match

Olympic sprint legend Usain Bolt used his star power to great effect as his Puma World 11 managed to raise millions of pounds for a UNICEF organized charity match at Old Trafford recently.

According to Soccer Aid, the event was a record-breaking staging as it managed to raise over 5 million pounds for the cause. The haul marks the highest figure in the organization’s history for any single charity match.

Soccer Aid for Unicef, which was founded in 2003, is an original pro-celebrity charity football match. This year’s staging featured stars like Sir Mo Farah, Robbie Williams, Gordon Ramsay and Damien Lewis plus footballing legends including Eric Cantona, Clarence Seedorf, Jaap Stam, Edwin Van Der Sar and Patrick Kluivert.

“We were delighted with the success of Soccer Aid for Unicef this year,” said Kenneth Shepherd, director of Soccer Aid Productions.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all its partners especially Puma, who they say was hugely influential to the massive success of the event.
