Update On Ninja Man’s Condition After Being Hospitalized

Veteran Dancehall entertainer Ninja Man is doing good despite Friday’s health scare, according to a family member.

The “Don Gorgon” was rushed to Hospital during court proceeding of his murder trial after complaining about an intense chest pain.

According to sources close to Ninja Man, his condition is not life-threatening.

Ninja, real name Desmond Ballentyne, has been in custody at the Central Station in Kingston for two weeks now after his bail was revoked by Justice Martin Gayle when he appeared in the Home Circuit Court last month.

In 2009 the former Downsound Records artist and his son, Janeil, and another man, Dennis Clayton, were charged with the shooting death of Ricardo Johnson who was gunned down in the Waltham Park area earlier that year.

The case, first mentioned in court in 2009, has had 17 missed trial dates and 23 mention dates in the eight years.
