Two teens killed in Westmoreland car accident

Two teens tragically died, while a third escaped with minor injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Little London, Westmoreland on Sunday morning.

The deceased victims have been identified as 19-year-old Sheldon Campbell and 16-year-old Paul Bowen, both from King’s Valley district, Grange Hill. A third victim, a 15-year-old occupant escaped serious injury.

According to reports, a Nissan car transporting the teens overturned along a section of the Little London main road. The occupants were reportedly on their way home from a party in the parish.

Reports indicate that the car which was being driven by Campbell, lost control at a section of the Top Road region of the community. The vehicle reportedly hit a garbage drum and a tree, before overturning. Police have since cited speeding as a contributing factor.

The three teens were taken to hospital where Campbell and Bowen succumbed to their injuries. The third victim, a 15-year-old, who was a back seat passenger was treated for minor injuries and released.
