A gas station worker was shot dead, and his co-worker was injured in Westmoreland early Wednesday morning.
The two colleagues were shot in the amity area about 5:30 a.m. According to reports the men were about to board a taxi for work when a gunman opened fire hitting them. One died instantly, while the other worker was shot in the leg as he jumped into the motor vehicle, which sped off.
The Savanna-la-Mar police are currently investigating the incident. They have declined to release the identity of the deceased before informing his family members.
