Two security guards involved in murder-suicide at tax office

The TRN office in downtown Kingston became the scene of a gruesome murder-suicide involving two security guards.

According to reports, 44-year-old Guardsman security employee Collette Hibbert was shot dead by her common law husband Paul Martin, who is employed to KingAlarm security company.

Sources familiar with the two say the couple had been enduring a rocky relationship for the last few months.

Martin reportedly visited the TRN office where Hibbert was stationed early Friday morning at approximately 9:10 am. It is reported that after a verbal confrontation between the two Martin then pulled his firearm and fatally shot Hibbert, before then turned the weapon on himself.

The sounds of the gunfire reportedly sent persons in the building scampering for cover in the busy downtown Kingston Mall.
