Two men held with sub-machine gun in Westmoreland

The police in Westmoreland have arrested and charged two men in connection with a illegal firearm that was found on a bus.

Cops have identified the two men as 54-year-old bus driver Peter Robinson and 34-year-old vendor Kevin Morris, both from Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.

According to cops, the men were arrested last week in Whitehouse, Westmoreland after the vehicle they were traveling in was stopped by lawmen. After a routine search a Tec-9 submachine gun and ammunition was found.

Both men were charged with illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition. They are scheduled to appear in the Western Regional Gun Court this week.
