Troy Ave to sue Irving Plaza in concert shooting

Rapper Troy Ave is reportedly suing the Irving Plaza and Live Nation for allowing guns into the venue during the May 25th shooting incident which he was also arrested for.

According to reports, the rapper who is charged with attempted murder feels that it was a lack of security which led to him being shot, and his childhood friend Ronald McPhatter being killed.

The New York rapper places the blame squarely at the venue and the concert’s promotion team, despite the fact that he was seen in video footage being a active shooter in the incident.

Ave who’s real name is Roland Collins has been has been out on a $500,000 bail bond as he battles charges of attempted murder.

It remains to be seen if prosecutors will charge Collins with McPhatter’s death as they say he has not been ruled out of the homicide probe.

According to the rapper’s lawyers their client actually wrestled the weapon away from the shooter who shot McPhatter, and he cannot be held accountable for his friend’s death.

Terms of the rapper’s bail outlined that he wears a electronic monitoring bracelet and  avoid clubs, concerts, venues, bars and arenas.
