According to reports, the much anticipated event was canceled following the firebombing of a car that belongs to event founder and DJ Kwesi “Hypa Hoppa” Hopkinson outside his Woodbrook office.
A public statement from the Scorch organizer’s informed patrons that the event was called off due to recent, unfortunate incidents which compromised the safety of their team and patrons.
Hopkinson implied that there may have been people who did not want the event to take place, but refused to give details, saying “leave it and let it.”
Scorch has promised to give all patrons a full refund.
