Dancehall diva Tifa is blasting promoters of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival in New York City for false advertising.
This comes after a recent publication was made saying the ‘Jealous Ova’ singer and her collaborator Dexta Daps were booked for the show together. However according to Tifa that’s not true as she’s not performing at any event in the New York City area this weekend.
Tifa has since been uploading a screenshot of the article refuting the claims while respectfully adding that she’s not a backup singer for the Dancehall singjay nor the help.
“I WILL NOT BE PERFORMING NOR WILL I BE “on Hand” AT ANY SHOW IN NEW YORK THIS WEEKEND!!! PLEASE DO NOT FALSELY ADVERTISE OR SEND MY NAME OUT IN RELEASES TO THE MEDIA IF IM NOT BOOKED FOR YOUR SHOW!!! MYSELF AND DEXTA DAPS DID A SONG TOGETHER (wonderful song at that) BUT THIS DOES NOT GIVE ENTITIES THE RIGHT TO ADVERTISE ME ONCE HE IS ON THE SHOW WITHOUT PRIOR DISCUSSION OR NOTIFYING MYSELF OR AGENTS!!! (No disrespect to Dexta) IM NOT A BACK UP SINGER NOR THE HELP!!! MY NAME IS TIFA WITH ALMOST 9YRS WORTH OF CATALOGUE & HUNDREDS OF SONGS BEHIND MY NAME!!! SO IF YOU WISH TO BOOK ME ON A SHOW CONTACT SOLID AGENCY, THE INFO IS IN MY BIO!!! AGAIN I WILL NOT BE ON ANY SHOW IN THE UNITED STATES THIS WEEKEND.” She wrote.
