Two men and one woman have been arrested and charged with illegal possession of marijuana after cops seized five pounds of the drug during an operation in Boscobel, St Mary on Thursday.
The police have charged 51-year-old Jerome Jackson, a fisherman of Boscobel; 65-year-old Errol Watson of Highgate and 60-year-old Rosemarie Addison cleaning attendant of Highgate, all in St Mary.
According to reports, the three were detained after lawmen conducted a search of a shack in the area at approximately 7:00 am where 5 pounds of the illegal drugs were found in their possession.
The three are expected to appear before the St Mary parish court on February 15.
