Teejay Creates History, Set To Share Stage With T.I. & Aidonia

Last Friday saw history being created in Montego Bay when for the first time in the 25 year staging of Reggae Sumfest, three Montegonian artistes shared top billing on Dancehall night. Among the aggregate was Rush Sheikh recording artiste Teejaywho gave a good account of himself in the wee hours of Saturday as the large gathering showed their appreciation for the segment featuring the trio dubbed ‘The Mobay Tribute’.

Teejay, who hails from the volatile enclave of Glendevon says he never felt pressured to deliver despite the high level of expectation from the fans.

“It was great, the fans came out and I did my thing. I never felt pressured because Mobay is my hometown. However, I must applaud the organisers for a well-orchestrated, incident-free event because with all that is happening in Montego Bay, keeping the peace is paramount.”
