Tanya Stephens is in full support of Ishawna’s new raunchy single ‘Equal Rights.’

The Female Veteran Dancehall/Reggae artist says she endorses the message in the former Downsound Records singer’s controversial track which sings about men performing oral sex.

“I endorse the message in that song [Equal Rights]. Have been doing so for decades and will not stop now,” she wrote online earlier this week.

“The reaction to this song is nothing short of the typical hypocritical and misogynistic behavior typical of the Jamaican/Dancehall masses. Some will argue that it’s the raw and in your face nature of her lyrics which offend them but I live and breathe as a witness to the fact that’s a f**king lie.”

“Bow and Salute as well as the more popular Freaky Type early in my career both earned me scorn of the ‘moral’ critics for daring to speak favorably of oral sex for the first time ever in Dancehal while those same fuckers applauded Baby Cham years later as a pioneer when he did ‘Boom Suck’.”

Since the release last week, Ishawna has come under fire from a slew of Dancehall artists including Bounty Killer’s protégé Prince Pin and Veteran singer Macka Diamond who released a diss tracks.
