Veteran recording artiste Tanya Stephens has sought to address the critics over her now-viral video in which she supported embattled Reggae singer Etana.

Etana sent tongues wagging over the weekend when she announced her support for Donald Trump during her recent interview with Entertainment Report’s Anthony Miller. However while social media users went online to blast the “Wrong Address” singer, Stephens took to Instagram to offer support in the below video but was then criticized over her appearance in the clip.

In a lengthly post on Sunday, the “It’s A Pity” singer wrote,  “I’ve been ordered to “never take my glasses off again!” and captioned “faces of meth” called empty vessel who sings what others write, called rude and have no respect, told that “hard life a beat me bad”.”

She continued by saying, “LOL!You know what I am? What you have been demanding black people be: self loving human of African descent. Nothing anyone on social media can possible call me will ever daunt my spirit. However, as with the rape discussions… I must remind you that yours and others’ kids are listening to you. My expletives will not hurt them. You prejudices and intrusions will.” Tanya added that,  “My confidence was not born of your approval so your disapproval can’t shake it. But it will give the children within earshot of you a skewed sense of self and reality. It will continue to pump farts into this stink bubble so many of you primped and preened underdeveloped humans call an existence. Be careful what you set your heart upon for you shall…?”
