Safaree Samuels says he was robbed at gunpoint in New Jersey in what was \u201cone of the worst, scariest nights of my life.\u201d\n\nAccording to the rapper and reality star the robbery happened Monday in Fort Lee around 2 a.m. The 36-year-old told\u00a0WWPR-FM\u00a0two men ran up and had him face down on the ground with a gun to his head.\n\nPolice say the suspects stole $183,000 in cash and jewelry.\n\nPolice Capt. Matthew Hintze says officers tried to stop a SUV near the scene, but the driver fled into New York City.\n\nHintze says the driver lost control and crashed into a concrete divider, and three people ran from the scene.\n\nPolice have arrested two suspects Jonathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood and charged them with robbery. A search for the third person is ongoing.\n\n\n\nAs more details continue to surface about the incident TMZ\u00a0reports that one of those men was a childhood friend of Safaree.\n\nAccording to reports,\u00a0 Shawn Harewood was a childhood friend of Safaree. The publication even dug up a picture of Safaree, Nicki Minaj, and Harewood during what sources say was a birthday celebration in Queens between\u00a02011-2012.\n\nAllegedly, Safaree and\u00a0Harewood were friends since the\u00a0"Hunnid" rapper was 14 years old, but the two stopped speaking after Nicki and Safaree broke up.\u00a0James Leonard Jr.,\u00a0 who is Safaree's lawyer, told\u00a0TMZ\u00a0that the robbery was not a random occurrence.
