Stylo G

The Tropixs (Portmore, Jamaica) It seems Stylo G’s neighbours want him gone from their community.

Stylo G’s recent standoff with police officers at a Caymanas Estate residence has been a long time coming it would seem as the deejay has not been the neighbours favorite cup of tea.

Screenshots of a WhatsApp group which are making rounds on social media have shown that members of the gated community are less than enthused by the Dancehall artiste’s presence, labeling him as as too ‘dramatic’ and ‘grandiose.’

“Bungle of grown man in a house, loud music being played and flashy cars. This kind of galivanting is not what we expect in this development. He needs to go back to his flat in the UK with that kinda grandstanding and drama. Yes, let us profile them and get the police to check them out,” reads one of the group messages.

The “Touch Down” star has since reacted to his neighbour’s comments after leaving the island this week by saying “I’m very surprised that grown people would stoop so low, and the fact that I’m a Jamaican like them who always represent my country – it’s sad. Classism is real in Jamaica. People need to know!”

Following the deejay’s statements Nicholas Miller, a member of the estate’s utilities committee has since defended the group’s comments claiming that property in question has not been abiding by the community regulations.

According to Miller, they have been having issues with that particular property ever since it became an AirBnB rental. He claims that it has caused a barrage of strange men coming and going at late nights, disrupting the family oriented structure of their community.

Miller went on to claim that properties such as this has become a safe-haven for many criminals who seek to escape the law because of the implementation of the zones of special operations.

Last week Stylo G was taken into police custody after cops raided the residence where he and several friends were staying. The deejay was processed and released without charge after no weapons or anything illegal was found.
