Founder and promoter for Sting, Isaiah Laing, announces that Sting will make a return this year on December 26, virtually.

“Sting 2020 is on and it’s on in earnest. This year the demand for Sting will be bigger than ever because not only will we be pushing a lot into promotion over the next few months, but COVID will be around in December more than any other time so everybody will be home and craving the entertainment,” Laing told Jamaica Star.

Due to it being “greatest show on earth”, there will be a fee for watching it, however it will be affordable as promised by Laing.

Sting will take place on Saturday, December 26, 2020 under the theme ‘Sting Wurl A Klash’. Viewers should be expecting entertainment from all over the world.

“We will be having artistes from out of Ghana, Nigeria, Brazil, Japan, London, New York, some of the biggest names will be on the show and it won’t be the usual head-to-head format. We don’t do mediocre at Sting. We have been planning this for months and so the performances will be amazing.” Laing stated.

Isaiah ensures that artistes such as Buju, Spice, Dexta Daps, Shenseea, Jada Kingdom, Masicka, The 6ixxs, as well as international artiste Burna Boy will perform at his event.

“This is not just a likkle virtual show, enuh, this is Sting, and no matter what other virtual show come before this or will come after this, this will be ‘the’ show.” Laing noted.

Sting is one of the biggest stage show in Jamaica and it focuses on Dancehall. Lyrical battles between artiste are usually involved allowing the crowd to select the winner. Whenever the crowd is not feeling a performance they normally throw bottles and of late cups on the stage. Artiste have blown up at stage and even some of Dancehall’s biggest artistes got their boost at Sting.
