The official countdown has commenced for The Greatest One Night Reggae and Dancehall Show On Earth, Sting 2020.

This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic Sting like many other events has gone virtual. Organiser Isaiah Laing said his team had previously confirmed the show’s return, and they are looking to deliver on that promise despite government regulations on mass gatherings in order to flatten curve in the virus fight.

Reggae Sting’s official Instagram account kicked off the promotions earlier this week letting fans know the show is still set for Boxing Day.

Sting also used the opportunity to ask Dancehall and Reggae fans who they would like to see touch the virtual stage dubbed “Sting Wurl A Klash” on December 26.

“We will be having artistes from out of Ghana, Nigeria, Brazil, Japan, London, New York, some of the biggest names will be on the show and it won’t be the usual head-to-head format. We don’t do mediocre at Sting. We have been planning this for months and so the performances will be amazing.” Isaiah Laing said earlier this year.

He also revealed that Buju Banton, Spice, Dexta Daps, Shenseea, Jada Kingdom, Masicka, and members of the 6IXX have all been contacted to thrill fans.

Sting’s virtual event will attract a cost for viewership, however, “it won’t be anything the people can’t handle,” Laing added.
