A St James taxi operator wanted for rape was arrested on Friday in St Thomas.
47-year-old Donald Reid was captured by detectives assigned to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) after he was featured on the St James police wanted list.
Reid was subsequently charged with rape and grievous sexual assault.
He is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old schoolgirl last year September and has been on the run since. He will appear in the St James Parish Court on Wednesday, January 31.
