A popular taxi operator was found dead in his motor vehicle with what seems to be gunshot wounds in St Ann’s Bay early on Friday morning.
The man who is said to be a ‘robot taxi’ operator has since been identified as 42-year-old Pete Germaine McKoy of Lime Hall in the parish.
According to reports, residents found McKoy’s body in his car after it had crashed into a wall along Church Street in St Ann’s Bay.
McKoy’s body was reportedly found slumped around the steering wheel of his green Nissan motor vehicle with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to St Anns Bay hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have theorized that the man was actually shot elsewhere and may have been trying to drive himself to hospital and lost consciousness along the way.
