Spice will officially be crowned Queen Of The Dancehall at Reggae Sumfest 2020.

Spice will claim her place among Dancehall’s greats this July as she will be officially be crowned Queen Of The Dancehall.

Fans have long branded Spice as the reigning queen, but her throne will be made official at the festival.

According to Downsound CEO and Sumfest owner Joe Bogdanovich, there is no doubt that Spice deserves the throne.

“Jamaican female artistes have taken a leading role in the music industry, both locally and internationally, and Spice has been at the forefront of that. Many younger artistes have her to thank for laying the foundation that has led to their success. Spice has performed at Reggae Sumfest more than 10 times, so it is only fitting that she receives the title on our stage. She is an amazing artiste, and we look forward to honouring her.”

Spice has been one of the most successful Dancehall acts in the last 10-years. Currently, she is regarded as one of Jamaica’s most popular entertainers internationally, churning out countless hits.

The Dancehall superstar’s success has been seen as an inspiration for a generation of younger female artistes.

Spice will be one of the headline acts for this year’s staging of Reggae Sumfest festival. The festival will be staged from July 12-18 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
