Spice Shares Why She Joined Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta

With just days before the first episode of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta season seven, Spice has revealed the reason why she joined the cast.

Since news surfaced last month that the newly crowned ‘Queen of Dancehall’ was added to the lineup of the VH1 smash hit reality series show, Dancehall fans have been sharing mixed reactions.

While many lauded Spice citing that she definitely is “stepping up her game and securing the bag”, others criticised the move claiming the ‘Needle Eye’ deejay has “lowered her standards and will be damaging her brand.”

Spice Gets Into Fight On Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta

Needless to say, Spice doesn’t care about what Dancehall critics have to say. According to her, she believes joining the popular docu-soap franchise is a major milestone in her career.

Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton added that Jamaicans and the Dancehall fraternity should be proud of her as she will be bringing the culture to a wider audience.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is the highest-rated instalment of the Love & Hip Hop franchise, which is itself one of the highest-rated franchises in cable television history. Last year the sixth series premiere garnered big ratings for the network, with VH1 announcing a combined rating of 5.2 million viewers.
