Spice may have to plan for a few more hands in the future as her annual back-to-school treat attracted hundreds more than she initially expected.

According to the “Cool It Down” deejay, she had originally expected to cater to approximately 500 children, but was left surprised after the turnout swelled far beyond her expectations.

Hundreds of children and their parents gathered at the Maverley Gospel Hall in St Andrew, from as early as 7 a.m., for the treat, which was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Spice, who had been preparing for the treat weeks prior, frequently updating fans on her social media, says she was not expecting such massive turnout.

The deejay even went on to call on her followers on social media to help provide supplies for the treat after seeing how massive it had truly become.

On Monday the Queen of The Dancehall took to Instagram to call on corporate Jamaica as well as fellow entertainers to turn up at the venue with whatever they could as she does not want to leave any child empty-handed.

“I’d like to apologize to the children who left disappointed ? today at my back to school give away✏️? @gracehamilton_wef ,” Spice wrote. “I too left in tears as I didn’t have enough to give . This video is when I left the front and went to the back of the crowd to make sure that kids at the back was getting before I ran out of bags . Thanks to who came on board but there’s so much more we can do so I’m still asking others to reach out [email protected] I promise to make this bigger and better next time and definitely more organized ??please forgive me for underestimating ??. BY THE WAY THE CROWD WAS TOO THICK TO FORM A LINE SO I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO DO IT THIS WAY?.”

Yesterday, several entertainers also turned up to lend a helping hand including Richie Stephens and Elephant Man among others. View highlights below.
