Skillibeng is the latest Dancehall artiste to be targeted by scammers online.

Scammers are currently impersonating the Brik Pan Brik singer to swindle as much as $2,000 USD (282,202.80 JMD) from promoters looking to book the artiste and disc jockeys who want dubplates.

Speaking with The Star, Skillibeng says the unscrupulous individuals have been doing it for months now, however they are getting more and more brazen with their actions.

“Mi get fi understand say a nuff pages out deh wid people a act like dem a me or mi manager and a take people money,” he said.

“It a get from bad to worse because dem a take some big money and a promise the people dem all kinda dubs and thing, so me affi come out and talk bout it now. Mi see say dem nah stop and time too hard fi people a send dem hard-earned money to these people and nah get nothing in return.”

Skillibeng says had to speak out to repair his image as many persons were thinking he told their money and didn’t provide his services. The artiste made it clear that all business should be done with his manager, Gutty Bling or by using the information found on his verified Instagram account.
