Vybz Kartel affiliated deejay Sikka Rymes was shot three times on Sunday morning after leaving a party.
The Dancehall artiste was on his way home from an event in Saint Andrew, when upon reaching a stoplight in the vicinity of the Sovereign Shopping Centre at approximately 3:45 a.m., he was attacked by unknown assailants.
Sikka Rymes, real name Javian Chambers, underwent surgery however his current condition remains unknown.
Former Portmore Empire deejay Lisa Hyper, who visited Sikka Rymes in the hospital, says the deejay was talking and alert before going into surgery, which is a good sign that he is on his way to recovery.
“He got shot three times and it’s very serious. We are just praying and hoping for the best,” She said. Hyper added that the only motive behind the attack is badmind citing that Sikka Rymes is a loving person.
Sikka Rhymes is known for the singles ‘Like I’m Superman’, featuring Vybz Kartel; ‘Type’ and ‘Wul It Out.’
