Jamaican actor and comedian Shebada is under fire from social media users over the following his recent comments made about 17-year-old Kaylan Dowdie’s attack.
Dowdie was beaten by a group of women at last Saturday night along Barbican Road during a brawl at an illegal party. She is currently on life support at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
On Friday, Shebada whose given name is Keith Ramsay went live on Instagram showing no sympathy for Kaylan Dowdie, citing that she deserved the attack for going to an illegal party during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actor’s insensitive comments caused an uproar on social media as many sought to adopt the new ‘cancel’ culture and vowed to stop supporting his work.
