International recording artiste Shaggy is the latest guest on Yendi Phillipps’ new YouTube series Odyssey by Yendi.

Shaggy, real name Orville Burrell, shares his story from being in the streets of New York to serving in the Marine Corps, finding his musical sound to becoming one of the most celebrated musicals acts to ever come out of Jamaica.

Yendi Phillipps’ sit down with the two-time Grammy winner, was not any ordinary interview; Mr Boombastic shared significant life lessons he’s learned along the way, dropping serious gems and giving pure real inspiration.

Shaggy also revealed that he once gave up meeting the Pope so he could go on vacation with his family. “When you sit there and you getting an invitation from the Pope, which I actually didn’t even do. I was about to go on vacation with my family and I had to turn it down. And I chose my family over meeting the Pope,” he said.

“You also have to go to a place where you realise that what is for Caesar is for Caesar. So if it was supposed to happen, it will happen. So it’s not a regret, it’s a situation where I said “OK, there will be an opportunity again, as you go down it will come back to you,” Shaggy added.
