Shabba Ranks was sampled in a Diet Coke advertisement during 52nd Super Bowl aired on Sunday.

The veteran Dancehall artiste and reggae singer JC Lodge’s 1988 smash hit single ‘Telephone Love (Deh Pon Mi Mind)’ was featured on a advertisement for sugar-free soft drink.

On one of the biggest nights in Sports in the United States, the Diet Coke brand appeared in a Superbowl primetime ad slot for the first time in over 21 years. With a 30 second commercial costing just over USD $5million, the Diet Coke 30 second commercial featured Australian TV and film Hayley Magnus wearing rasta colored (red, green and gold) socks, rocking with her diet coke to the sounds of Shabba Ranks.
