The St James police have reportedly detained several persons in their ongoing anti-lottery scam operations over the weekend.
Cops reportedly conducted several simultaneous raids in the communities of Mt Salem, Granville, and Bogue where several persons were arrested and assets seized.
Police say large quantities of cash, high end vehicles, and lead sheets containing personal information were reportedly seized from the raids over the weekend.
St James now boasts the highest murder rate in Jamaica, a disturbing statistic that is blamed on the lottery scam.
