Sean Paul Talks Rihanna Not Wanting To Leave Jamaica During Her Visit

International recording artiste Sean Paul says Bajan Pop star Rihanna didn’t want to leave Jamaica when she visited the island back in 2005 to record their Billboard Chart-Topping single Break It Off.

According to the We Be Burning hit singer, Riri had so much fun she didn’t want to go into the studio to work on the track, “She (Rihanna) came to Kingston and we took her on jet skis, we took her to the clubs, and then she came reluctantly to the studio because she was just having so much fun exploring,” he told Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

Sean Paul said working with Rihanna was memorable because he was the one who usually traveled overseas to do collaborations. Speaking on his 2003 “Baby Boy” single with Beyonce, he revealed that he had to fly to Miami to record the project. “I’ve flown to loads of other places, but none of them actually came to Jamaica,” He said. “Me and Rihanna just kept seeing each other when touring and stuff and she was a young Caribbean artiste from Barbados and she said to me a lot of her generation in Barbados look up to Jamaica and Jamaican artistes and she just wanted to come for a long time.”
